Our Client is one of UK's Leading Healthcare Providers and they are currently seeking for a dedicated Practice Nurse. As a Practice Nurse you will be working in an exceptional Surgery service within the Chelmsford area.
This special Surgery are committed to providing patients with a full general practice service and access to a range of health professionals. They offer a range of health services and information as well as advice and treatment for a range of illnesses and minor injuries.
As a Practice Nurse your day to day duties include:
To provide high quality, safe and evidence based nursing care and advice to registered patients
Contribute to and participate in the delivery of a range of chronic diseases with an awareness of the Quality and Outcomes framework.
To Independently prescribe or provide medicines via patient group directions or in accordance with a prescription by an independent prescriber
To ensure appropriate access to nursing and medical primary care services.
Regularly review progress on all nursing related and public health performance indicators and proactively manage progress with other key staff.
To make best use of clinical knowledge and skills existing in the nursing team, identify areas for development and work with the lead nurse to address these.
To actively participate in clinical audit and other governance processes.
Provide professional and clinical support and advice to other members of the Primary Health Care Team
An ideal Practice Nurse you must have these skills and experiences as they are beneficial for this position:
First level Registered nurse
First Degree level qualification or working at this level
Practice Nurse qualification
Clinical experience working in a GP practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and team working skills
Primary care/OOH/urgent care experience
Qualification in cervical cytology and vaccination/immunisation.
